Elisabeth Testa Wins Grad Student Teaching Award
Ethnomusicology graduate student Elisabeth Testa will be the recipient of a 2009 UC Davis Graduate Student Teaching Award. The award, cosponsored by the Graduate Council, the Office of Graduate Studies, and the Teaching Resources Center, recognizes excellence in teaching by graduate students on the UC Davis campus. Says Sandra Graham, UC Davis assistant professor of music, "Lis's dedication, keen sense of responsibility, devotion to her students, creative approach to teaching, and consistent can-do attitude are evident to all of us lucky enough to have worked with her. Please join me in congratulating Lis on this well-deserved honor." Testa will formally receive her award from Chancellor Vanderhoef at a ceremony in April.
