A native of Virginia, soprano Bharati Soman married a native Californian and relocated to Davis. She made her Davis debut with the Davis Comic Opera Company as Mabel in the Pirates of Penzance. She also covered the role of Josephine in the UC Davis/DCOC production of Gilbert & Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore. Soman made her professional debut as Zerlina in the Sacramento Opera’s production of Don Giovanni in September 2004. |
