David Möschler

David Möschler is returning for his second season as music director and conductor of the Davis Summer Symphony. This fall, he will receive his Master of Arts in Conducting from UC Davis, where he holds the Barbara K. Jackson graduate fellowship in conducting. Originally from North Carolina, Möschler earned bachelor’s degrees in music and physics from UNC Chapel Hill. This summer, he conducted productions of Brigadoon and Carousel in Cape Cod with the College Light Opera Company, where he has served as principal conductor for the past five years. In California, Möschler has led performances with the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra and the University Chorus, and he is a frequent guest conductor of the Empyrean Ensemble. In May 2009, he led the highly acclaimed run of Oklahoma! at the Mondavi Center, a joint production between the Departments of Music and Theatre & Dance. In October, Möschler will conduct Trial by Jury with the Light Opera Theatre of Sacramento and The Threepenny Opera with the Shotgun Players in Berkeley. |
