David Moschler is thrilled to be starting his Master of Arts in Conducting at UC Davis this fall, where he is assistant conductor for the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra. In 2005 he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics. While studying tuba performance as an undergraduate, he turned his focus to orchestral and choral conducting. While at Chapel Hill, he was assistant conductor of the UNC Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and NC Wind Orchestra. He has premiered several new student compositions, participated in multiple conducting workshops and recording projects, and is an active freelance double bassist and vocal coach. He also stays active as a music director in theater and opera, and he has conducted more than 50 fully staged theater productions. He is an alumnus of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and a member of the Conductors Guild. |
