Keith Michael Bohm is a native Californian who earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance from California State University, Sacramento, under Dr. Jack Foote, received a Master of Music in Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi under Dr. Lawrence Gwozdz, and earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music under Dean Tim Timmons. Bohm has also had the opportunity to study and perform abroad with the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet in Lörrach, Germany. As an educator, Bohm has given master classes, lectures, and clinics in saxophone, chamber music, and woodwind performance at major universities, public and private schools, and community centers throughout the United States. He has a diverse background in public school teaching, ranging from elementary to high school, as well as teaching lessons through community music programs, summer camps, and his private studio. Bohm is currently a part-time professor of saxophone, music education, and music theory at California State University, Sacramento, and a part-time professor of saxophone and chamber music at UC Davis.

As a soloist, Bohm has performed recitals in major cities across the United States, including a live broadcast performance at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. He has given world premiere performances of works by American composers Samuel Adler, William J. Lackey, and Jerome Begin. He was the winner of the 1998 Mu Phi Epsilon International Competition, in which he toured the U.S. for two years as an ambassador of Mu Phi Epsilon, the international professional music fraternity, performing solo recitals and orchestral appearances. Bohm has had the privilege to perform with the Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay, Palo Alto Philharmonic, Merrimack Valley Philharmonic, San Jose Wind Symphony, and Tacoma Wind Symphony. He has also been the principal saxophonist with the California Wind Orchestra, Mississippi Wind Band, Camellia Symphony, and Sacramento Ballet.

Bohm is also currently a director on the foundation board of Mu Phi Epsilon, in which he is a director of scholarships and was concert manager for the 2001 competition winner and chairperson for the group's 2003 International Competition.
