Dirge-Elegy for piano solo. Written for Lois Shapiro and dedicated to the memory of Arlene Zallman.

Implicit Memory for six players. Commissioned by the Barlow Foundation for the New York New Music Ensemble.

Tathata for string trio. Written for the Athabasca String Trio.

Thin Ice, a chamber concerto for cello and fourteen players. Commissioned by Sequitur for cellist Greg Hesselink.

The Near Beyond for clarinet, violin, viola, and cello. Commissioned by Empyrean Ensemble for Peter Josheff and dedicated to the memory of Lois Jones.

Piano Quartet for violin, viola, cello, and piano. Commissioned by the State University of New York at Stony Brook for the Stony Brook Contemporary Chamber Players Mango for solo piano. Commissioned by Amy Dissanayake for her Tango Project.


2002

Dusk for large orchestra. Movement II of a larger work commissioned by the California Youth Symphony, Leo Eylar, Music Director.

Flying Time for two marimbas. Commissioned by Stephen Paysen and Dominic Donato.

2001

Fast and Loose, a chamber concerto for flute (alto flute, piccolo) and eight players commissioned by the Fromm Foundation for the San Francisco Contemporary Music Players

This, That, and the Other, for soprano saxophone solo, eight winds, and percussion. Commissioned by the National Association of College Wind and Percussion Instructors.

This, That, and the Other (arrangement) for soprano saxophone solo, piano, bass, and percussion.

Diverto for string orchestra. Written for the Crowden School Upper Orchestra, Ben Simon, Director.

String Quartet No. 3. Commissioned by the Lively Arts at Stanford for the Anderson Quartet.

Little Trio for flute, clarinet, and bassoon.

Tribute for cello and piano. Written for Fred Sherry and Gilbert Kalish.

Nimbus for solo flute. Written at the request of Perspectives of New Music in honor of Martin Boykan's 70th birthday.

Quiescence for clarinet and harp. Written for Diane Maltester and Wendy Tamis.

Pulse for clarinet, viola, and piano. Commissioned by the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble.
