UC Davis Jazz Band Performs at Mondavi Center
The UC Davis Jazz Band, aka Wednesday Night Big Band, along with the band's Jazz Improv combo, performs at 8 pm on Wednesday, Feb. 20, in Jackson Hall of the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. This is the group's second appearance under the direction of Delbert Bump, jazz keyboardist, composer and recording artist. Bump is a jazz educator of the highest caliber, teaching at the college level for more than 30 years, currently at both UC Davis and Solano Community College. He has written for big bands, combos, television and radio, receiving numerous awards along the way.
