Fall 2013 Auditions: General Auditions, for new and returning members.
Auditions for Fall 2013 to the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra will take place in SEPTEMBER*:
- Tuesday, September 24th from 10am-1pm and 2pm-7pm
- Wednesday, September 25th from 10am-1pm and 2pm-7pm (percussion from 6pm-7pm)
- Thursday, September 26th from 9am-11:30pm and 1:30pm-5pm
*In Professor Baldini's office, Grounds Office Building #1105
First Rehearsal
Thursday, September 26 from 7:10pm-9:40pm in Jackson Hall, Mondavi Center - CALL TIME IS 6:55pm.
First Concert
Saturday, October 4, 2013, 8pm
Audition Requirements
- All applicants should prepare a solo piece that will demonstrate fast and slow playing (it may be two different pieces or movements).
- All applicants must print and duly complete the following Application Form (PDF), and bring it to their scheduled audition.
- All members interested in holding a principal position must perform excerpts of their choice from either Mahler's 1st Symphony or Brahms' 2nd Symphony. Parts are free and available for download here:

Rehearsals
Tuesdays and Thursdays (7:10–9:40 pm) at Jackson Hall, Mondavi Center. Call Time is 6:55 pm.
