Welcome to our 53rd Season (2011–12)
Spring 2012 Auditions (For NEW Members; and for returning members who would like to be considered for a principal position)
Auditions for Spring 2012 to the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra will take place in APRIL*:
- Friday the 6th, from 2pm–5:30pm
- Monday the 9th, from 12pm–3pm
- Tuesday the 10th, from 10am–1pm (percussion from 12-1)
*In Professor Baldini's office, Old Firehouse 14
First Rehearsal
Tuesday, April 10th, 2012 (7:10–9:40pm), in Jackson Hall, Mondavi Center. Call Time is 6:50pm.
Audition Requirements
- All applicants should prepare a solo piece that will demonstrate fast and slow playing (may be two different pieces or movements).
- All applicants must print and duly complete the following Application Form (PDF), and bring it to their scheduled audition.
- In addition, applicants interested in holding a principal position (i.e. principal oboe, percussion section leader, concertmaster, principal cello, etc.) should also prepare at least two orchestral excerpts chosen from the following PDF files. Applicants can download the PDF file for their instrument by clicking here. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to perform these excerpts, though only those applicants interested in holding a principal position are required to do so.
